Danish Citizenship Test
This is the real Danish citizenship test (Indfødsretsprøven) as sat on 3 June 2026: the 45 questions in the order they were given, from the paper and answer key published by the Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration. You can take it in the original Danish or in our English translation. Questions 1–35 are drawn from the official study material on Danish society, culture and history, 36–40 are about current events, and 41–45 are about Danish values. Two or three choices each; the official time limit is 45 minutes.
To pass, an applicant needs at least 36 of 45 correct and at least 4 of the 5 values questions. The pass rate among applicants swings between about 40% and two thirds from sitting to sitting (it dropped from 66% to 40% when the test was made harder in 2021); at the May 2025 sitting, 58% of the 5,959 who sat it passed. Your result shows the same pass mark, plus where your score falls among everyone who has taken it here.
Time limit: 45:00

Two optional questions, asked once: your age and sex let the results be broken down by who took the test.
Sex as at birth; gender as you identify. Languages you grew up speaking; several are fine, separated by commas. Leave blank anything you would rather not say.
