Three parts of 50 trials each. 1. A circle lights up; press the space bar (or click, or tap the box) as fast as you can. 2. It lights up on the left or the right; press F for left and J for right (index fingers on the keyboard's home row), or the left or right mouse button, or tap that side of the box. 3. Between 1 and 10 dots flash up for a moment; type how many you saw on the number keys (0 for 10), or tap the number under the box. No hurry for that.
The wait before each varies, so there is no rhythm to anticipate: pressing before it appears, or within 0.1 seconds of it, is a false start and the trial starts over. Your score in each of the first two parts is your median time over the trials you got right, and in the third the number you counted right.
Timing is done in your browser. Phones and some mice add a little delay compared with a keyboard, so results are compared with people who used the same kind of device.

Almost done!
Two optional questions, asked once: your age and sex let the results be broken down by who took the test.
Sex as at birth; gender as you identify. Languages you grew up speaking; several are fine, separated by commas. Leave blank anything you would rather not say.
